TT electronics Receives SC21 Bronze Re-Accreditation
SC21 Program Part of TT Electronics’ Strategic Plan to Support UK Aerospace and Defense Industries
Rogerstone, U.K., 07 December 2011 – TT electronics – integrated manufacturing services, inc. division (IMS) reported that for the third consecutive year its Rogerstone, South Wales electronics assembly facility received bronze standard re-accreditation in the aerospace industry’s 21st Century Supply Chains (SC21) improvement program.
“Receiving SC21 accreditation demonstrates our continued commitment to our global aerospace and defense clients and prospects,” said John Molloy, divisional chief executive of TT electronics IMS. “We’ve made a concerted effort to listen to their needs, refining and adding services, in order to provide a competitive edge in the market place. As a result, we have developed new global partnerships with several aerospace and defense suppliers and contractors during 2011.”
SC21 accreditation was a significant part of TT electronics’ overall strategic plan to become the preferred electronics assembly partner for UK aerospace and defense manufacturers.
“Our success in this program is testament to our quality and delivery standards and the hard working associates at the Rogerstone facility,” said Gary Allen, UK managing director for TT electronics IMS.
In addition to this prestigious award, the Rogerstone facility recently added a new environmental and dynamic testing lab approved by the United Kingdom Accreditation Services (UKAS).
“The new testing facility provides us with a competitive edge during the design and product qualification process,” said Allen. “Our new altitude, salt spray, corrosion, environmental testing services, and the addition of a new EMC facility in 2012, complement our extensive testing procedures and programs already in place.”
With global specialties in aerospace and defence electronics engineering, manufacturing and testing, TT electronics is focused on meeting and exceeding industry quality standards. In the last few years, the company has received the AS 9100 Aerospace Quality Management Standard globally and most recently received Nadcap accreditation at its Suzhou, China location.
