TT electronics Achieves AS9100 Certification--

Enhancing High Quality Standards to Meet Requirements of Aerospace Customers  

Suzhou, China facility adds to its list of quality assurance capabilities  

WEYBRIDGE, UNITED KINGDOM, March 16, 2009 – TT electronics integrated manufacturing services announced today that its Suzhou, China facility has been awarded the AS9100 standard. This certification recognizes excellence in business, quality management and operational practices and ensures TT electronics customers that the company meets and exceeds internationally recognized aerospace-industry standards. This is in addition to Suzhou facility’s on-going ISO9001:2000 certification. 

AS9100 standard, which is an enhanced version of ISO9001:2000, is the quality standard among Aerospace companies and suppliers consisting of over 90 additional requirements and amplifications. These requirements focus on controlling and monitoring design, production, and purchasing processes.  

“The AS9100 certification enables TT electronics to assure not only potential aerospace customers, but all of our customers, that the quality of our products and manufacturing capabilities exceeds industry standards”, said John Molloy, integrated manufacturing services Divisional Director. 

Internally, all TT electronics integrated manufacturing services employees are educated on the AS9100 additional requirements and how it relates to each job function.  The company has already seen efficiency improvements in its day to day operations since the implementation of the standard.  

AS9100 certification is the latest addition to the Suzhou facility’s already impressive portfolio of approvals, including the TS16949 quality standard, the ISO14001:2004 environmental standard, ISO13485 and ISO9001:2000 positions TT electronics integrated manufacturing services Suzhou as a reliable manufacturer committed to achieving exceptional standards of quality for its customers.
